5 people that had excellent intermittent fasting results
In this article I want to share some success stories. Now you may be thinking it’s just about the weight loss, which is great in itself, but it is more than that. These people not only accelerated their metabolism, took control of their eating habits and gained lean muscle, some completely turned their lives around.
1. 35 year old man dropped 20 pounds
Malan used the 16/8 intermittent fasting method for almost 6 months, in 2013. He confesses that staying true to his regime was never easy, especially at family meetings or dinners. This is the time when he had to hold back from being tempted and eat those dishes that he’d been avoiding for months.
“Worse still is having to deal with people and make them understand that you are on a diet,” he says.
Malan also used the Eat-Stop-Eat method, and says it was key to his weight loss of about 9 kilos in less than 2 months, because it worked as a propellant.

2. The man who lost 40 pounds in 10 weeks
No doubt, an impressive intermittent fasting success story, with amazing before and after photo. But how did it happen? Ohio based engineer Matt Manning was facing the possibility of heart valve operation. At 45 he knew he didn’t want to undergo such a serious procedure, so he decided to take back control of his body and health. Not only to shift some of the 213 pounds of fat he’d acquired over the years, but to be there for his children for many years to come.
In this case, Matt committed to a diet low in carbohydrates in addition to intermittent fasting. By doing this he managed to lose 40 pounds of weight in just 2 and a half months. But that’s not all, he lowered his body fat percentage by 5% and went on to enter a Body building competition- which he won! Now that’s what I call total transformation.
His diet included foods high in fiber and low in calories, such as spinach, whole grains and non-starchy foods. But he assures us that while the eating patterns helped, his gains were mostly due to intermittent fasting.
3. Cheryl lost 25 pounds
I’m pretty sure that many of our readers can relate to this, I know I can. Cheryl had spent a large portion of her life overweight, although it wasn’t through lack of trying. She tried every fad diet going only to wind up fatter than before.
Fed up, but determined to lose weight one way or another, Cheryl decided to stop putting excessive pressure on herself to be slim next week – like all the new fangled diets promised, but to allow her body to lose weight naturally.
After coming across the Intermittent Breakfast Eat-Stop-Eat method she knew this was the diet for her. She would stop eating for 24 hours a couple of times a week, in addition to running 3 kilometers a day.
Cheryl focused her diet on low-calorie foods, including fruits and whole grains.
“When you are on a diet trying to lose weight, you must be patient and stay positive because it won’t happen overnight,” says Cheryl.
She advises that those who want to lose weight should not be discouraged if they do not see results immediately; the discipline and perseverance you put in will pay off sooner or later.
4. Sumaya Kazi dropped 50 pounds in 7 months
Intermittent fasting success stories don’t get much better than this. In the case of Sumaya, her journey with intermittent fasting has revolutionized her body and how she eat. She managed to lose more than 50 pounds of weight (about 23 kilos) in only seven and a half months.
To date She has lost more than 10% body fat and about 40 inches in measurements. What’s most amazing about this result is that every pound lost was due to intermittent fasting, since she couldn’t exercise due to a fractured foot.
Sumaya admits that she tried many diets, Jenny Craig, weight watchers, but always ended up regaining the weight. The only diet that has actually stuck and helped her lose considerable amounts of weight without yo-yoing has been intermittent fasting.

5. Max lost 20 pounds
Another intermittent fasting before and after photo that shows how beneficial this way of eating can be. These results come from a man named Max who managed to lose 18 pounds in 10 weeks.
He ensures that intermittent fasting was a great help in reducing cravings, because with regular diets he felt hungry all the time. He goes on to say;
With the 16/8 method I was not hungry at all, despite being fasted for 16 hours.
An added bonus was that Max achieved great muscle definition with intermittent fasting. In addition, he also used the 5: 2 method to increase his weight loss.
6. Lauren lost 3 pounds in a week
These results with intermittent fasting are dramatic. After giving birth, and wanting to get back in shape, Lauren began intermittent fasting. What surprised her was not only how easy it was, but that she was losing, on average, between 2 and 3 pounds per week.
Lauren used the 16/8 method. During the 8 hours that she could eat, she stayed on a diet of low-calorie foods.
Lauren says intermittent fasting has literally changed her life.
7. Jeff Roberts lost 18 pounds
After searching for years for an effective diet which would help him lose weight and not lean muscles, everything changed for Jeff after he found the “The 3-week diet”.
“This unique diet helped me lose weight like crazy,” says Roberts.
He adds that intermittent fasting provides other benefits in addition to losing weight, such as mental clarity and improvement in insulin levels.
Jeff makes small meals in the 8-hour window for eating, fasting for 16 hours a day.
In addition, Roberts recommends that if your weight loss stalls during intermittent fasting, then try incorporating the 3-Week Diet and see the difference.
8. Qiana Adams lost 30 pounds
Another intermittent fasting success story that many can relate. Qiana spent several years frustrated because she couldn’t lose weight, spending thousands on weight loss methods that promised miracles but only left her purse lighter and not her body.
Finally, she heard about the benefits of intermittent fasting and everything changed.
To date she has lost more than 30 pounds (about 14 kilos).
“It was like magic. I was eating about 100 grams of fat (more than 2000 calories) in the 8-hour period, and still losing weight, “Qiana reveals.
What was amazing about these results is that she did all this while eating a high fat diet, munching her way through 2000 calories a day and still dropping weight like crazy.

What is intermittent breakfast?
Intermittent breakfast or intermittent fasting is a method to lose weight where you stop eating at least 12 hours a day, there are several methods to do it, as I’ll explain below:
The methods of intermittent fasting are the following:
1. 16/8 Intermittent fasting Method (or Leangain)
The intermittent fasting 16/8 means that you will eat your food for 8 hours, and you will fast the remaining 16.
According to research, this system helps the pancreas regenerate cells responsible for processing sugar, so it is considered especially useful in cases of diabetes (although if you suffer from any disease, you should not perform any diet without consulting your doctor).
The creator of this method, Martin Berkhan, ensures that this technique is commonly used by those who seek to strengthen muscles by accumulating minimal amounts of fat.
It is one of the favorite diets in the world of fitness due to its good results and ability to favor muscle definition.
The most popular time is to eat between 12 a.m. and 8 p.m., and fast the rest of the time.
As for allowed foods, you can eat freely, although you should try to be healthy.
2. Eat-stop-eat method
Eat-Stop-Eat (Eat-Stop-Eat) consists of fasting 1 or 2 days a week, for 24 hours, and the rest of the time eat freely without giving up any food group.
According to Brad Pilon, creator of this system, intermittent fasting has been shown to be more effective in weight loss and muscle retention than diets that focus on eliminating certain foods or shortening the number of calories a day.
In addition, this method also seems to help reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
During the 24 hours of fasting you can drink water, tea and coffee. Resistance exercises are recommended, but not on fasting days.
3. 5 2 Method
Finally, the 5: 2 method, created by Dr. Michael Mosley, is that during two days of the week (not consecutive), you will eat only 500 calories. These days soups are a good option, since they are low in calories.
The remaining 5 days you will eat normally, although it is important that you choose nutritious and, preferably, natural foods.
According to studies, this method achieves a loss similar to that obtained with low-calorie diets.
In addition, intermittent fasting 5: 2 helps reduce insulin and leptin levels, as well as body fat, without affecting muscle mass.
4. The warrior diet
It is a feeding system exposed in the book “The Warrior Diet”, by Ori Hofmekler, an Israeli soldier who bases his diet on how the ancient Greek and Roman soldiers fed.
It consists of making only one big meal a day, in the afternoon or evening. You must divide the day into two blocks, the over-power (4 hours) and the under-power (20 hours).
In the 20-hour period you can fast or eat something, but only small amounts of natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, juices or protein snacks.
It is recommended that after your big dinner you spend two hours before going to bed.
Hofmekler also advises exercising to enhance the benefits of this food system.

How long does intermittent fasting last?
The minimum amount of time you should stop eating is 8 hours. The most recommended intermittent fasting is the one where you stop eating 16 hours. There is also a version of intermittent fasting in which you only eat once a day.
How long can the fast last?
You can fast for several days, but if you last more than a week, and you do it without medical supervision, you can put your health at risk. This can result in gastritis and deficiencies of vitamins and minerals.
